On the project

Nanophotonics, the field that investigates interaction of light with nanostructures, already finds applications in flat optical components or quantum technology. Antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) is a unique material, which amorphous-crystalline transition causes an abrupt change in its refractive index. By implementing Sb2S3, we could actively control the functions of fabricated nanophotonic devices. In this project, we would like to optimize the deposition and nanopatterning process of Sb2S3 and investigate its potential in nanophotonics.
