On the project

The proposed transnational project will involve four HE institutions from four countries, the coordinating organisation being Brno University of Technology (CZ) with the partners being University of Agder (NO), University Politehnica of Bucharest (RO) and Bifröst University (IS). The project duration is 2 years. The two main project objectives will be: (A) to synthesize the pedagogical and technical principles to develop digital learning approaches including materials, and a basic structure for digital learning recognition and (B) to apply and validate these principles in pilot modules/courses at all partner universities The project target groups are: (i) students of a variety of study programmes with diverse background and learning skills, (ii) teachers involved in digital learning (DL), (iii) education and ICT experts with specialization in online learning. The project target institutions/economic sectors are: (I) universities involved in DL, (II) research institutes with research related to DL, (III) enterprises interested in doing business in DL. Two Intellectual Outputs will be elaborated: (1) Digital Education Methodology, including case studies about using convenient pedagogy, material and tools and simulators in Digital Education; each partner university will contribute 2 cases of methodologies for two different study disciplines/subjects covering engineering, quality management, mathematics, media studies, leadership, statistics. We plan to develop a handbook about how to choose a convenient digital education approach or learning strategy, based on experience learned within the project implementation period. (2) Digital Education Recognition, where possibilities of recognition of higher education achievements will be explored including potential use of the blockchain technology. We have Associated Partners who already have advanced in this direction related to digital recognition of ECTS. We plan to prepare a needs/gaps analysis and/or a case study and a pilot concept/model for digital recognition based on blockchains. Other project activities will comprise: • 4 transnational project meetings, one to be held in each involved country, • 4 Multiplier events (ME) organized during the 2 years of project duration, one in each participating country, • 4 Learning/Teaching/Training activities (LTT), one organized by each consortium member. The project is innovative in both methodology and results. The most important innovative characteristic is applying of an advanced DL to transfer multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge in HE. The project is complementary to other educational projects in DL, introducing a highly innovative digital learning recognition for the Europe.
