Representatives from Pusan National University visited Brno University of Technology
Representatives from Pusan National University visited Brno University of Technology on 19th November 2019. Younho CHO - International office dean, Yang-Kee LEE - Head of PR and Yungju KANG - International Coordinator presented Pusan National University. Brno University of Technology was presented by Vice-rector for Foreing Relatins prof. Jiří Hirš, Vice-dean assoc. prof. Zdeňka Konečná from the Faculty of Business and Management, Vice-dean assoc. prof. Radek Toman from the Faculty of Architecture, Vice-dean Vítězslav Beran from the Faculty of Information Technology and assoc. prof. Pavel Mazal from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Pusan National University and Brno University of Technology have been already partners since May 2019, when Memorandum of Understanding was signed. Fist students from Pusan National University have started to study at BUT at the Faculty of Architecture in studio of Vice-dean Radek Toman. There has been also collaboration between Pusan National University and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, namely with Department of Condition Monitoring.
Pusan National University offer the collaboration also in the fields of chemistry, aerospace engineering, civil engineering and pharmacy. During the meeting was discussed also education of students in the field of entrepreneurial spirit, which is dealt at both institutions.
Korean university offers summer school for international students, which is focused mostly at cultural experience, Korean language, international Relations etc. Brno University of Technology can offer also summer schools, e.g. the Faculty of Information Technology organise Brno International Summer School in Information Technology (BISSIT). In the first year of this summer school most international students were from South Korea.
