A newly constructed atypical bridge must be tested for static (dynamic) functionality before it is put into operation. The evaluation method of the static response is subjected to the ČSN 736209 code - Bridge Load Testing, prescribing the testing process as well as its criteria. This paper deals with the static load test carried out for cyclist and pedestrian footbridge crossing the Elbe river. Here, the testing results and the computational results of the test simulation are being compared. In this case, the loading is represented by a group of standing vehicles. For computations of the load-bearing structure, the program system ANSYS has been used.
