Originální abstrakt

In the paper there are presented various design challenges associated with the design of wireless monitoring system devices concerning monitoring of operational state of large-scale spatially distributed sensor systems. The challenges described in this paper include large-scale totally distributed system configuration, start-up phase of the sensor network, runtime reconfiguration and energy efficient fault handling. As the sensor network is intended for long-term data acquisition and monitoring of the whole system was designed as battery powered energy efficient system.
