Originální abstrakt

The composite interphase is characterized by ability to transfer stresses from the matrix to the fibers. Therefore, its influence on performance of composite materials is significant. To gain the best possible mechanical properties, glass fibers are usually surface coated. Many coatings have been developed to improve the durability and mechanical strength of the fiber/matrix bond and these are usually termed "coupling agents". Organofunctional silanes are the most widely used coupling agents for improvement of the interfacial adhesion in glass reinforced materials.
