Originální abstrakt

An article deals with theoretical analysis of polarization mode dispersion and its effect to the optical link. Further the measuring methods for PMD are described and compared by practical measurements there. Finally, the measured data were processed and analysed. Measurements were performed in the Laboratory of transmission media, Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology.
