Stavitelství se neustále vyvíjí, je ovlivňováno novými informacemi a získanými zkušenostmi. V dnešní době je známo mnoho poruch stavebních konstrukcí. Některé již byly popsány v různých publikacích, o jiných se neustále diskutuje. V současné době jsou informace získávány z odborné literatury a internetu, kde se nenachází vždy odpovědi na otázky. Jsou-li známy příčiny vzniku poruch stavebních konstrukcí, omezí se jejich opětovný vznik.

Building engineering is constantly developing and is influenced by new information and experiences. Nowadays many defects and faults affecting building structures are known. Some of these faults and defects have already been described in various publications others are still being discussed. At the present information is gathered from specialized publications and the internet where not always the answers to the questions are found. If the causes that create building structure defects are known their recurrence can be minimized.
