The design of concrete beams, columns, and slabs for EC, NEN, DIN, CSN, STN, ONORM and BS are available in SCIA.ESA PT 5.2. A new object-driven approach for inputting the member concrete data of 1D members has been developed. The input of buckling lengths has become a separate item in the input and is direct accessible. The drawing of the internal forces can be done with the possibility to display shifted moment lines and reduced internal forces. The design of the reinforcement can be done taking into account user-defined reinforcement. Also crack proof, concrete check (as response on a specified load, or as a capacity calculation via an interaction diagram) and calculation of concrete deformations with respect to cracking are available. For the input of slab concrete data the same philosophy has been used as for the input of member concrete data. The user has more freedom to input different parameters for top and bottom surface, and he can distinguish data (e.g. concrete cover, environmental class, reinforcement type) for main or stirrup reinforcement. There is the possibility to define up to 10 reinforcement layers to each surface. The design of reinforcement can be done taking into account user-defined reinforcement. The results are shown graphically according to reinforcement profiles and distances. Also crack proof and concrete deformations with respect to cracking are available.
