Proposed communication unit is a part of complex intelligent system for the management of energy grids and identifying and predicting threats to energy infrastructure, in order to ensure rapid restoration of power supply in case of natural disasters, fluctuations in the power grid or other extraordinary effects. The purpose of the communication unit is to connect system elements, read data from measuring units and to ensure secured data connection over different data transmission channels.
