BUT offers 21 accredited full-time and combined 3-to-4-year doctoral programmes with a wealth of interesting fields of study. On successful completion, students receive a degree of Ph.D.

Admissions to Doctoral programmes are organized by individual BUT faculties and the Institute of Forensic Engineering. A Master's degree certificate is among the admission requirements.
