The trend today is in the maximum reduction of production costs. To achieve this result, it is necessary to reduce the amount of energy consumed during the production process. Any energy savings (and associated financial savings) can make a decisive factor in maintaining the competitiveness of the company on the market. One of the ways to reduce production costs is the correct choice of insulation material. It is necessary to achieve the lowest possible price. With the increase of the thermal resistance of conventional foam concrete we can get material that will combine the advantages of insulating materials that can resist higher temperatures with low-cost lightweight concrete. There are many technical devices with high heat consumption whose current insulation is insufficient or even none at all. These devices include furnaces, boilers and chimneys. All currently manufactured insulation materials resistant to high temperatures are either not sufficiently flexible to adapt to diverse shapes that are common in these industrial facilities, or their production is excessively expensive. A possible alternative to these insulations could be a silicate based material, whose production could be extended with secondary materials. The use of secondary raw materials in the manufacture of building materials is always important. There are efforts to use the largest amount of waste products and produce them as secondary raw materials. If any waste material is used, there are no inconveniences to the landfill and disposal. Aerated perlite-concrete is a newly developed material, which should be used as a heat-insulating material. Without autoclaving the aerated concrete has very low strength. Latently hydraulic properties of fly ash can be used in concrete to increase strength and also to improve other properties of concrete. Density is very closely related to a number of other properties. With the increase of density the compressive strength also increases. It also leads to increased thermal conductivity.
