In the paper, the design, simulation, optimization and manufacturing of different versions of an antenna, which transforms the impedance of the coaxial line to the impedance of the open space via the circular waveguide, are presented. The numerical models of the antenna were developed in CST Microwave Studio. Then, the models were optimized to meet specified criteria. The manufacturing of the antennas is complicated, and therefore, only one version of the antenna was produced, and its properties were experimentally verified.
