Pedestrian bridge across river Medway, Maidstone, UK. Stress ribbon structure of a total length of 101 m with two spans of 49,5 m and 37,5 m. First stress ribbon bridge with unique crankded alignment in the world. Composite concrete deck is formed of pre-cast segments and in situ concrete fill. The superstructure is post tensioned by unbonded tendons with double anti-corrosion protecstion. Intermediate support transfers the horizontal force from the alignment bent and also serves as stairs to access the deck.
