Originální abstrakt

Further to changes and reforms in the tertiary sector, the Human Resources Development Operational Programme project CZ.04.1.03/3.2.15.2/0284 is based on the Sorbonne Joint Declaration on harmonization of the architecture of the European higher education system and on the Bologna Declaration on construction of the European area of higher education till 2010. Objectives of the project are as follows: improvement of quality of education and higher managerial competence within the bounds of the study programme Economics and Management, branches of study Company Management and Economics and Corporate Finance and Business (in the in-class or combined form of study or in the life-long education programme), improvement of qualitative development of the study programme and the branches included in it from the content and formal points of view and the possibility of studying individual modules step by step (thanks to the module arrangement) enabling to continue one's studies at any time. The study programme also includes verification of the credit system - the study load - representing the very basis for better comparison of complexity of individual branches within the study programme Economics and Management not only in the inland and foreign universities, but also in finding a firm place in the labour market, strengthening of cooperation of the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) with employers' organizations and specialized workplaces reflecting realization of the practical study programme part, increase of the level of professional readiness of university teachers. Multimedia teaching materials, e-learning, etc., are utilized for solution of the project. Results of the project should bring innovation of qualitative development of the study programme Economics and Management from the content and formal points of view, incl. the modular arrangement, improvement of the curriculum by assessing individual disciplines and incorporating new topical disciplines, improvement of the content of taught subjects as response to the needs of the knowledge society, increase of active students' participation in education and creation of activation forms and procedures, capability to work with information sources, skill of communication, presentation and utilization of the obtained knowledge, when elaborating the degree works, increase of the level of professional readiness of the university teachers, development of cooperation with the companies, thus enabling further education, increase of qualification or obtaining a new qualification for the graduates within the framework of the life-long education programmes.
