Originální abstrakt

The paper briefly describes progress in developing a new algorithm for compressed video quality assessment achieved in 2008. The new objective method itself is based on an artificial neural network, taking bit stream parameters (quantization coarsness and processed block size) as its inputs. It is designed and tested for the H.264/AVC algorithm. As the doctoral thesis was finished in 2008, a few results are presented at the end of the paper.
