The aim of realized experimental works was the hydrophobization verification of adhesive and screeding materials intended for ETICS. The hydrophobization can be divided in principle into direct and indirect hydrophobization. The direct hydrophobic treatment is based on the utilization of hydrophobic substances either primarily i.e. the mixing of hydrophobization substances with the mixture, or secondarily in the form of impregnation. The following hydrophobizating substances were used in our work: zinc and magnesium stearate, natrium oleate, two sorts of mixed stearate and oleate products, microionized waxes and silane hydrophobicum. As reference mixture was used the adhesive and screeding material designed by the firm STOMIX s.r.o. (Ltd) which was hydrophobized in successive steps. The hydrofobized materials were tested following the Czech Standards (ČSN) and following the Technical Rules CZB 2001, of the Instructions for ETICS testing, which enables to verify the usability of the hydrophobized material as the component of the stiffening layer in practice. The research of microstructure he was realized as well.
