The paper deals with optimizations of the modal damping of the bladed disk. Damping element is placed in rotor joint tape, in dovetail groove. There is a relative motion between the side walls of the strap and groove. This causes a vibrations damping. Dimensions of the damping strap is influenced dynamic behaviour of whole disk. In this paper is described a simplified model creation, and optimization of the strap dimensions.
