Originální abstrakt

The paper deals with a post-processing tomographic examination of temporomandibular joint. Magnetic Resonance (MR) images are degraded by additive noise, which appears in the course of detecting the image and is mainly due to the input HF amplifier. An enhancement of arthroscopic region details of a sick temporomandibular joint in MR image is performed by digital filtering using wavelet transform. The enhancement rate i.e. parameter filter selection is realized on the base of MR image subjective evaluation by surgeon. To attenuate the additive noise the DTWT with orthogonal and bi-orthogonal mother wavelets was used.
