Originální abstrakt

The paper deals with the application of the ANSYS program in the assessment of the reliability of a boiler destinated for a plant in an earthquake highly endangered area. The complex computation model of the boiler involves water-walls modeled in full details, pipe systems, burning chambers, pressure vessels, foundation structure with the base slab, etc. Seismic response has been computed using the linear spectrum method. The reliability assessment has been based on the combination of the seismic actions with the static ones. Selected results are presented in the paper.
