This paper deals with new algorithm of discrete wavelet transform. The new algorithm of segmented discrete wavelet transform (SegWT) has been developed to process in real-time. It is possible to process the signal segment-by-segment with low memory costs by the new method. In the paper, the principle and benefits of the segmented wavelet transform is explained.
