In case of a global optimization of complicated electromagnetic structures, CPU-time demanding numerical analysis has to be repeated for each frequency separately. The global optimization is therefore extremely time-consuming. And this is the motivation for the development of non-conventional optimization approaches providing very high efficiency and a satisfactory accuracy.
