In the paper, a new circuit of multifunction filter using two active BOTA (Balanced Output Transconductance Amplifier) elements is shown. The new filter was derived from the general autonomous circuit. The duality between BOTA, DVCC (Differential Voltage Current Conveyor) and UCC (Universal Current Conveyor) circuits is shown. A method for transforming a multifunction filter using BOTA into a UCC-based equivalent multifunction filter is also shown. The properties of the proposed second-order multifunction filter were subjected to an AC analysis, statistical analysis in the OrCAD software and to experimental measurement.
