The text of this paper is concerned with the main events of small and medium-sized enterprises which happened since entrance of the Czech Republic into the European Union. In that period took place several matters of principle, for example better availability of ISO certificate for small and medium enterprises, publication of National Advisers Register, proposal of Czech Republic Export Strategy for period 2006 to 2010, preparing of system project for entrepreneurial qualification obtaining with name Business Academy, implementation of new grant for human resource management international standard or launching of new grant programme Konkurenceschopnost. Czech small and medium enterprises background affect also some of Czech legislative amendments, especially new value-added tax law or income tax abatement for corporations.
