In this article, the influence of the location of the stiffeners in a bolt joint of two-hinged steel frame on the level of tension forces in individual rows of bolts is analysed. For this analysis the program system ANSYS 5.6 was used. The problem was considered as a contact one, the infuence of shear being included. The elasto-plastic material behaviour was described by bilinear diagram with kinematic strain hardening.
