Originální abstrakt

Autonomous mobile robots, moving without any external assistance, belong to the top research in a modern robotics. They are used as rescue robots in destroyed buildings, for neutralization of dangerous materials, and also in the space research. This paper is concerned with using of visual information for mobile robot navigation. Firstly, basic terms related to a field of mobile robotics and navigation of autonomous mobile robotic systems are put on. Next follows an analysis of visual information using for solving of navigation task, which leads to a problem of depth searching in a digital image. After that several basic methods for the third dimension determination in a two-dimensional image are introduced and possibilities of their using for mobile robot navigation are discussed.
