Mezinárodní výstavní projekt Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, 1963–1983, jenž putoval z Velké Británie do několika muzeí v USA, byl věnován „umění v časech černošského vzdoru“. V recenzi na výstavu představuje Ladislav Zikmund-Lender kurátorský koncept a kritizuje zároveň úzké zaměření přehlídky, která nezohledňuje aktuální politické dění a aspekty rasového násilí v americkém prostředí. Stranou nezůstává ani otázka prezentace umění na základě politiky identit.

Anglický abstrakt

The international exhibition project Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, 1963–1983, which traveled from Great Britain to several museums in the USA, was dedicated to "art in times of black defiance". In a review of the exhibition, Ladislav Zikmund-Lender presents the curatorial concept and at the same time criticizes the narrow focus of the show, which does not take into account current political events and aspects of racial violence in the American environment. The question of the presentation of art on the basis of identity politics is not left out either.
