The paper deals with design of independent battery powered drive for wheelbarrow. Battery parameters are still improving and the price of modern lithium based batteries also decreases. Therefore, the battery powered drives are starting to be meaningful in wider are of low cost applications such as electric drive of wheelbarrow. The utilization of independent electric drive in wheelbarrow application will significantly make easier for human to operate with the wheelbarrow with heavy load or in difficult terrain.
