Originální abstrakt
The text is focused on the description of basic semiconductor discrete analog elements, such as diodes and transistors. A special section is devoted to describe the most known active element, which is the operational amplifier. Following the the trends in microelectronics, also other active devices (such as transconductance amplifiers, current conveyors or voltage conveyors) used nowadays in analog circuit design are briefly described. Using these active elements, basic linear function blocks such as voltage inverting and non-inverting amplifiers are described. As next, non-linear circuits are described. First from the very general point of view, later the emphasis is put on the analysis of precision half-wave and full-wave rectifiers using operational amplifiers. A special section deals with the description of frequency filters that are used in all electronic devices to suppress undesired frequencies in the signal to be further processed.
