A high-temperature device consisting of an arc heater with electric arc and a reaction chamber was designed and operated for both research, and educational purposes at the Department of Power Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology. In previous computations and considerations, possible influence of pressure change at the output orifice of the reaction chamber was completely ignored. The paper presents a computational method that enables to judge the influence of pressure change on the output parameters of the flowing hot gas. The results of computation are given using real experimental data. Some model compu-tations are also performed to demonstrate the difference between the output parameters if pressure changes at the output are neglected or included. The obtained dependences make it possible to decide whether simpler computation is sufficient with respect to experimental conditions and the required accuracy

Článek prezentuje výpočetní postup, který dovoluje posoudit vliv změn tlaku plynu ve vysokoteplotním zařízení s elektrickým obloukem na výstupní parametry (teplota, rychlost pracovního plynu na výstupu zařízení). Modelové výpočty byly provedeny s využitím reálných experimentálně zjištěných dat. Podle výsledků je možné posoudit, zda v dané experimentální konfiguraci a při určitých nárocích na přesnost je či není oprávněné zanedbání vlivu změn tlaku.
