The study is concerned with analysing the process of implementing educational programs and optimizing it for the Erasmus mobility programme students and the free movers. In its first part, educational programs, the EU educational policy, process questions and related concepts are described in detail. The analytical part focuses on implementing educational programmes, on analysing international activities at the Faculty of Business and Management, and on bilateral contracts. The key part of this study analyses an inquiry conducted on a sample of 95 students of the Faculty who participated in mobility programmes. Interesting results were obtained about their motivation for studying abroad, their comparison of the support provided by the home university with that provided by the university abroad, and their personal appraisal of the stay. Finally, on the basis of the information obtained, suggestions are made to optimize the mobility process and increase the participation of students in it.
