RapidMiner is today one of the most widely used data mining and predictive analysis solutions world-wide. This paper introduces an image processing extension for RapidMiner and a presents the basic concepts and ideas about this extension. This paper also presents some feature extraction operators and individual operations used in extension. The use of the proposed extension was demonstrated on the real-world problem - identification of an area of interest in mammograms and also other two applications are mentioned. The code is provided freely with an open source license in hope, it can be applied for a collaborative research work in the area of data mining.
