Originální abstrakt

The paper is involved in OTDR systems which need high power and accurate pulses with short time duration because the reflected signal is weak for direct detection. Simulation models of pulse generator are needed for more complex simulation of sensoric systems, but also for common applications such as measuring by reflectometric methods in telecommunication. Simulation models were created in Matlab Simulink and VPIphotonics. Simulation models allow pulses generation with different time duration, pulse repetition rate and power. The article includes scientific notation of a reflection signal and a short description of the maximum detection length with possible resolution of the sensoric system.
