Originální abstrakt

New approach in chirped Bragg gratings preparation using uniform Bragg gratings written to the tapered fiber is presented. This method is based on changes of the effective refractive index along the tapered section of the fiber. Asymmetric tapers are fabricated with different lengths of the left and the right cone sections. The manufacturing of up to 5mm long tapers with a commercial fusion splicer is presented. The FBGs were formed by lateral exposure method by the excimer KrF laser. Uniform phase masks (constant period) with periods between 1060.3nm and 1095.7nm (corresponds to C-band and L-band) were used. Photosensitivity of the tapered sections was reinforced by the hydrogenation of the optical fiber before the FBG writing.
