This paper is focused on stator winding faults of the internal permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). Comparison of IPMSM faulty model and real IPMSM motor is presented in this paper. Measurements were done on micro-controller based control platform with IPMSM connected to dynamometer test bench. This control platform is also described. Recorded speed control transient responses were successfully compared with signals from the model during inter-turn stator winding fault and open phase stator winding fault.
