The chapter deals with tooling systems (ISO, CAPTO, HSK, KM), its pros and cross, tool clamping etc. The huge assortment of shapes and dimensions of machined workpieces leads to the matter that a large scope of different types of technological operations is performed by the machining centres. The workpieces shall be made during the shortest possible time, they are manufactured of various materials and it is necessary to reach the prescribed surface quality. The still and still increasing demands placed on manufacture result in exacting requirements on the design of tooling systems. The needs of technologies which are developed cause the great variety of tool shapes and used materials.
