Originální abstrakt
Smart metering is based on network of intelligent metering devices and supporting devices such as repeaters, concentrators and others that communicate to each other in a variety of different protocols. These devices are characterized by similar requirements such as support for cryptographic algorithms or scheduling tasks. But there are also different requirements. For example, support of different types of communication or need for real-time response in case of synchrophasor measurement. Due to these requirements, there is a question, which device should use super loop control, which one embedded OS and where to use the full-featured operating system. This paper also mentions leaders for these categories.
