O projektu

The economic transformation of Poland and Czech Republic from central planned to market oriented economies in the last two decades is considered to be a success story. As a result both economies have been able to utilise to a significant extant potential of convergence process with highly developed European economies. However, both countries still face a fundamental problem of middle income trap, which is the condition for closing their development gap. This problem is especially important in the context of growing global competition. In this context the aim of the research is to conduct a comparative study on the determinants of competitiveness of Polish and Czech economies.
