Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire basic knowledge of three-dimensional descriptive geometry
necessary to solve real life situations in various areas of engineering.
Mode of delivery:
90 % face-to-face, 10 % distance learning
Students are expected to be familiar with the fundamentals of geometry and mathematics at the secondary school level.

Course contents (annotation):
The course familiarises students with the fundamentals of three-dimensional descriptive geometry, theory of engineering drawing and graphical method of solving space or solid analytic geometry problems. Presentation of these concepts will enable students
to understand descriptive geometry who will be able to relate it to engineering and technology.

2. Special constructions of conics.
3. Conics. Mapping between two planes.
4. Mapping between a circle and an ellipse.
5. Mongean system of descriptive geometry. Basic principles of orthographic projection.
6. Auxiliary inclined views or projections.
7. Orthographic projection - practicale problems.
8. Axonometric projection.
9. Solids in the isometric pictorial.
10. Elementary solids and surfaces.
11. Intersection of a line and a surface. Slice.
12. Auxiliary inclined views.
13. Examples according to student interest.
