  1. Architecture in Czechoslovakia after 1945

    The Doctoral Thesis will concentrate on examination of facts, relationships and conflicts in architecture of the II. half of the 20th century that were previously not well-known.

  2. Architecture of hall buildings in zoological and botanical gardens as the effect of the interaction between nature environment and technosphere

    The buildings in zoological and botanical gardens have a specific functions in science, education, entertainment and especially in nature conservation. Their concept and realization depends on natural science and access to adequate building technology.

  3. Architecture of protected workshops

    The aim of the Doctoral Thesis is to appoint but mainly update some of the basic attributes of creation of spaces-structures suitable for production (economically contributing) activities of people with handicap.

  6. Housing in thle context of the time

    More than one third of the current housing stock CR apartments are in block buildings. Doctoral thesis will map on the example of selected settlement Brno-Lesná the origins, the project creation process and analyze its form implemented. Initial estimated potential of the residential environment, then evaluate the changes, since its establishment until today with the view to the future.

    The Doctoral Thesis will examine and investigate particular and complex approaches towards the Czech architecture, urbanism and theory in the I. half of the 20th century within the international context.

  11. Reconstruction and revitalization of current buildings made from natural materials

    Current buildings older than 100 years were built fully from natural materials with positive influence on health of people. During their reconstruction now are used usually present materials with high portion of embodied energy, very ofen with chemical background. Doctor's work should be aimed to reconstruction ofordinary houses with maintaining oftheir environmental properties, to increasing of their useable value' and lowering of their energetically consumption.

  13. Super Constructions in Architecture on Turn of the Millennium

    Super Constructions - Mega Constructions exceed framework of common practicability. They are predetermined of current material and technological possibilities and they overcome common measures in accordance with horizontal and vertical lines. Realisation of these type buildings is multicriterion problem, at the beginning of which the appropriate choosing of building fabric is standing. Described building fabric in architectural presentation will be aim of detailed analysis, research and applicative conclusion.
