Issued topics of Doctoral Study Program

  1. Control release of bioactive substances using 3D hollow fiber scaffold and their application in bone and cartilage regeneration

The main aim of the thesis, is to prepare hollow fibers with control the size of hollow size (100-900 nm) and encapsulate (drug or bioactive nanoparticles) use it for preparation 3D scaffold for different medical applications.

Tutor: Abdellatif Abdelmohsen Moustafa, M.Sc., Ph.D.

  2. Fabrication and characterization of nanofibers based on bionanocomposite and their medical application

The work will focus on fabrication of nanofibers from nanoparticles (different particle size) composite, and study the chemical, mechanical and biological applications of the nanofibers.

Tutor: Abdellatif Abdelmohsen Moustafa, M.Sc., Ph.D.

  3. Chemical modification of biopolymers and their applications

Chemical modifications of complex by oxidation of the surface of the complex and preparation of water soluble material. Characterization of the derivative complex using different techniques like NMR, FTIR, XRD and TGA.

Tutor: Abdellatif Abdelmohsen Moustafa, M.Sc., Ph.D.

  4. Mouldable hydrogels and their applications

Hydrogels are a class of soft material that is exploited in many, often completely disparate, industrial applications, on account of their unique and tunable properties. The main goal of this thesis is to fabricate polymer/nanoparticles hydrogel and to investigate the rheological properties.

Tutor: Abdellatif Abdelmohsen Moustafa, M.Sc., Ph.D.

  5. Studies on preparation of self-healing hydrogel fabricated from biopolymer and their application

The project aims to preparation and characterization of self-healing hydrogels from renewable source, investigate the physical-chemical and mechanical properties of the hydrogel.

Tutor: Abdellatif Abdelmohsen Moustafa, M.Sc., Ph.D.
