The objective of this work is to analyze the current production process of the cams within Poclain Hydraulics and to propose its optimizations. After that, a market research of the possibilities of automation is done. Based on the analysis of the production process and the market research, various configurations of an automated production cell are to be proposed. This work deals with a technical and economic analysis of the problem and compares the different possibilities of automation of the production.

Mr. Ciba Martin, Bc.is a very talented student, who works systematically and responsibly. The diploma work was a very challenging matter due to many organizational and managerial changes. Anyway, he worked very hard and each idea, hint and potential solution took seriously into consideration and the work fulfilled the very demanding criteria and goals. Mr. Ciba regularly consulted his progress in the work, the technological alternatives and his partial conclusions. I was fully satisfied with his study, diploma work and I recommend his work to the final defence.

The thesis deals with the automation of the production cell for the processing of the hydraulic motor element. It describes in detail the variant solution of the individual design of the proposed machine equipment including conveyors and robots. In conclusion, it analyzes the various options in terms of total cost (TC) and return on investment (ROI).
The work has a high potential for practical application in the investment project of automation of production units.
