Probabilistic Analysis of Structures

FA-PAKCompulsory-optionalMaster's (2nd cycle)Acad. year: 2010/2011Winter semester1. year of study4  credits

Optional subject "Probabilistic analysis of structures for architects' corresponds with the current trends from supporting structures. In lectures and seminars and introduces students to the probabilistic approach for structure analysis in relation to the work of an architect (for example, the probability of a violation under construction).

Course curriculum

Lectures and seminars: Introduction to probability and statistics. Statistical distribution. Reliability design, reliability of access standards for the design, specific approaches for determining design loads, material quantities, and the emergence of disorders.
Probability of breach structures.
Individual work with students and development of knowledge and information seminar will be conducted through.

The aim is to gain knowledge of specific design solutions to modern methods, the future architect will be able to use for his successful collaboration with specialists.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lessons are held in the semester cycle of lectures and seminars. The decisive factor is the active participation of students in the preparation of documents related to the topics discussed on a technical solution design.
