Special experimental of theoretical methods in consumer's chemistry based on tasks of selected diploma thesis. Training of students‘ creativity by means of their individual laboratory projects. Record keeping in laboratory notebook.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn problem-solving techniques, individual creative work, recording and evaluation of laboratory data and will deepen practical skills in selected laboratory or theoretical methods according to their individual selection.

Prerequisites

Chemical and instrumental analysis, theoretical foundation necessary to work up diploma thesis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of specialized lab - 8 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for awarding the course-unit credit is realization of selected project and properly kept laboratory notebook.

Individual project of diploma work. Mastering experimental and theoretical methods and laboratory techniques necessary to work up diploma thesis. Data processing. Good laboratory notebook practices.
