Technological Projects

FSI-HT2-KAcad. year: 2020/2021

The subject deals with the following areas : capacity calculation, study of a set of buildings, , flow of technology, storage and workplace layout, methods of organization and realization of technological projects and their economic evaluation. Technique of designing materials handling, it is based on equipment for materials handling.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire necessary knowledge from the areas of mechanical engineering workshops designing and material handling. The subject is focused mainly on different technologies of mechanical engineering, such as metal forming, welding and cutting, machining and casting.

Prerequisites

The basic knowledges solve producing of mechanization and automation, handling and basic information about machines and equipment in manufacturing technology. Mainly deal with forming, machining and welding technologies, foundry and unconventional technologies.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The subject is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical substance presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Attendance at lessons is checked. The lecture is different each week, therefore, an absence may be compensated in the same week only. Only one lecture may be missed without penalty. In the case of more missed exercises and the impossibility of replacing the exercise, the substitute protocols and computational work will be assigned.

Aims

The main goal of the subject is provided students with all basic information about pre-project activity, designing of industrial wokplaces, production lines and methods of whole project activity. The second part of the subject is focussing material handling, material flow, storage and technology of mechanical engineering.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The conditions of the credit: Students attendance at excercises. Students solve the example designing of workshops and production line, storage. The participation and the right solution are required.
