Theoretical Study PPL

Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints the student with the initial theoretical knowledge for obtaining a private pilot license. These are the issues of aerodynamics and flight mechanics, navigation, radionavigation, meteorology, operating procedures, communications, aircraft design, aircraft instruments and human performance.

High school level knowledge of mathematics and physics is demanded.

The course is taught in the form of lectures, which are an explanation of the basic principles and theories of the discipline.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for granting the credit:
- at least 80% attendance at lectures,
- at least 75% of correct answers in the written test.
The classification is governed by the ETCS rules.

Aims

Theoretically prepare a student to pass the examinations at the Civil Aviation Authority to obtain a private pilot license (PPL).

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
