Team Project

In the course of the semester, students in groups carry out a project on a selected topic under the guidance of a teacher or a doctoral student from one of the institutes involved in teaching the subject. The content of the project is an independent activity from the assignment, the study of the theory, the creation of the structure of the plan and design of the project, methodology of work, own practical activities, processing of results and evaluation of results and drawing conclusions.
The course includes lectures on individual phases of project creation and implementation and seminars with the group leader on the project work. The project is finished with a defense, which is part of the evaluation.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The graduate will be able to: prepare, organize and implement monitoring, process data to evaluate.
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject prepares the student for practical activities connected with project preparation, organization, preparation of the schedule, provision of material and technical base.
Students will be able to create a logical schedule of project activities focused on monitoring physical activities.
Students will acquire practical knowledge and skills in the various phases of project preparation and management.
Students will be able to choose appropriate instrumentation to meet the project objective and will be able to work with the research method for data collection, processing and evaluation.
The output of the course is to defend the project, in which the group must:
- demonstrate systematic, regular activity during the semester
- explain the purpose of the project, create a research question, describe the project objective
- describe the methodology of work, explain its issues, partial tasks, schedule,
- explain the processing of results, interpret them and demonstrate the ability to discuss their meaning,
- demonstrate the ability to draw conclusions.

Course curriculum

Lectures:
1.-2. Introduction to research, intention. Team work, individual activities, group dynamics
3.-4. Project creation, project documentation. Project topic selection, risks and project effect
Seminars:
1. Work with intent, study of theoretical basis
2. Preparation of a project on a given topic, project proposal, preparation of work methodology
3. Design of research design Ensuring material-technical base, instrumentation, providing research file, working with the file
4.Time project management, Organization of measurement, own measurement, data collection and processing
5.-6. Data evaluation, discussion, conclusions. Creating the final project report
Individual team practice, implementation of the proposed project, processing of results, writing a report and presenting the results.

Aims

The aim of the course is to gain practical knowledge, experience and skills in creating and implementing a small project with a smaller team in relatively independent activities.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures 80%, seminars are obligatory 100%, exceptionally possible after agreement with the project manager.
