Information technology and system analysis

Modern database systems, DBMS architecture and the role in information systems. Actual technologies for information systems design, n-tiers architecture. Life cycle and information system implementation. Process analysis and management. Modelling tools of the system analysis. The support of information technologies on particular levels of management. Economy of IS creation.
Practical education is focused on the exercising of analytic skills in the case of the suggestion of the information system of the solved subject including the basic implementation techniques.

4. Internet solutions, .NET, ASP, PHP technologies
5. Advanced db techniques, database transactions, ACID rules
6. Stored procedures and functions, Transact-SQL language
7. Triggers, constrains, business rules
8. 3-tiers architecture
9-11. Information system inplementation on network platform
12. Access control in application layer
13. Example of analysis of simple information system

To get general orientation in information technologies and possibilities of their use at firm’s management. To learn basic tools of system analysis. To acquire skills and ability to model reality during formation of information system.

1. Data modeling - repetition. 2.-3. Query language for mining of data warehouse, the SELECT statement in the SQL language, pivot table in spreadsheet environment. 4. Advanced procedures for obtaining information from relational sets - internal, left and right, outer joins. 5. Methods for relational operations in MS Excel. 6. Elements for data manipulation in SQL. 7. Advanced procedures for transaction processing. 8.-9. Process analysis, design of BPMN diagram. 10. The state diagram and its implementation in the data model. 11.-12. Individual project of simple information system. 13. Testing of knowledge and advocacy of design of IS.
