dispatching management – direct management of the rivers and operation of water structures, its tools and means, operational systems
automated monitoring of the basic water information and hydrological data, its processing and application
water-resources balance, management of the water resources in reservoirs
flood protection measures, flood plains, extraordinary floods, break waves, principles for the compilation of development plans
operation on the rivers and structures, prevention and solution of technical failures, emergency service, breakdown identification, solution to the water quality deterioration due to a breakdown, emergency plan, prevention, means of intervention
Prerequisites: Specialized courses of water management, water management legislation, economy of water structures and water management

Aims

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with water management control, that ensure:
• required amount of surface water;
• protection of areas against waters;
• minimal discharges in designated profiles;
• creates conditions for fish breeding and recreation;
• generation of energy.
