Technological Systems

The principles of building site and industrial technologies in the decisive branches of the building materials production, esp. considering concrete, the concrete products, demands of qualitative characteristics of products quality. Demands for flexibility of industrial production. Efficiency of standard and technological innovations. Organization and managing of control activities during securing the stability of technological processes, importance of the application of statistical methods. Analyses methods of technological operations, causes of failures, reparations and prevention. Methods for analyses of materials. Responsibility of manufacturers from the point of view of technical demands for products. Relation to the system of complex securing the quality of production operations. Ecologically oriented management systems of plants (EMS), up-to-date legislative in our country and in the other countries EU. Safety of production operations. Integrated systems of management. Juridical aspects of quality, ecology and security. Responsibility for the product and for the process.

Course curriculum

1.Importance of quality in building industry, role of company management in securing the quality.
2.Inspection, tests, metrology in building materials technology.
3.The system ISO 9000 and connected standards, their development and procedural approach.
4.Elements of quality management system (QMS- the role of management, sources, processes, monitoring, improvements etc.)
5.Importance of statistical methods, simple tools of QMS.
6.Analysis of faults development and their consequences (FMEA) and other methods.
7.Quality economy, problems of records and evaluation of discords.
8.Total quality management (TQM), application possibilities in the building industry.
9.Environmentally oriented management systems (EMS), basic elements.
10.Safety systems, relation of ISO system standards 9000, 14000 and 18000, integrated systems of management and of audit.
11.Technical demands on products, safety of products and processes.
12.Legal aspects of quality, ecology, responsibility for the product, legislation in our country and in the EU.
13.Methods of QMS implementation, QMS documentation in practice, case studies.Certification of quality and of environmental systems, auditing methods, case studies.

Application ability of main technological subjects knowledge, strengthening of system approach to ongoing chemical and physical processes and to the function of machinery, fixing of complex approach to processes failures solution and innovation assignment of technologies modernization. Strengthening of technical inspection and metrology importance in production, obtaining skill in methods of design and quality management evaluation systems, environment and security, achieving an outline about actual technical and legislative demands in building materials industrial branches
